If you were looking for some Christmas fun but didn’t have time to “enjoy the season” It’s not to late! The Little Sisters of Hoboken have been ramping up for their first ever public access Christmas TV special.
The little sisters are with out fear of the unknown and would never let lack of experience hold them back. So why not plan a TV special. The school children have been practicing and Sister Leo has expertly planed The Nutcracker ballet. Sister Julia Child of God will present her famous if not infamous fruitcake recipe. What could possibly go wrong? How ever, Murphy law was written especially for the little sisters of Hoboken. Sister Amnesia unwittingly upsets the apple cart and everything slides side ways!
The play is under the musical direction of Janice Deboer.

UPDATE ON CAN-ACT'S FUTURE

“CAN-ACT is not dead! We have just been in rehearsal.” Says Director Marilyn Gunderson. Thanks to Karcher Mall and rehearsal space, we have put together a show that is outrageously funny. We have wonderful singers, inventive dancers and audience participation. It’s just the thing to chase away the January doldrums and lift your spirits. Laughter is always in season. She goes on to say, "CAN-ACT ’s future is unclear at this time. We still have no permanent home but we are concentrating on performance and hoping for the best." The show is dedicated to past CAN-ACT president Dorrraine Denny who recently passed away

The Board of Directors has undergone board reorganization and we feel that we have a plan that will help run the organization more efficiently and effectively. Right now, our plan is to perform 2 shows per season. We have the plan but are lacking manpower.

None of us is as smart individually as we are put together. CAN-ACT will not have a future without you.

Help in needed in the following immediate needs to performing:
1. Securing an affordable space
2. People to help with:
a. Secretarial
b. Fundraising
c. Production: costumes, set, lighting, sound
d. Publicity
e. Organizing ushers
f. Community Liaison (going out into the community to promote CAN-ACT)

If we don't get the help listed above, CAN-ACT's final show will be Nuncrackers' (in Jan). We need to have your support by October 15, 2009.

CAN-ACT has brought joy and entertainment to so many people in this valley. With your help, it will continue that legacy.

If you have any leads on a performance space, rehearsal space and/or storage space, please contact Marilyn at 467-2097 or mggunderson@yahoo.com

Check back often for updates to our location and season.
